Necrologist Presents: Ritchie Blackmore - Live from the Temple of the King
February 26, 2009 Hey dude, I had seen this video a lot of times just like the video of Steve Vai with an orchestra play “For the Love of God” which was featured in this blog of mine. This is like a reminiscin’ of the good ‘ol rock n roll times… but this time, its a solemn version of the Temple of the King by the band called “Rainbow” and of course courtesy of the guitar player called “Ritchie Blackmore”
Without even lookin at the video, the music itself tells, feels the warmth of the 70’s rock n roll… part that I waitin of was the guitar solo which definitely fills what I expect from a Guitar Master… plus the crowd that joins the rhythmn of the music… Such a master piece and till now still lives on… Long Live Rock n Roll!!!

Necrologist Presents: Ozzy Osbourne - Till Now
February 17, 2009
Long Live Rock n Roll… From Black Sabbath till as a single artist, Ozzy Osbourne still rocks..
Recently, there was a music video that was keep on aired in a certain action channel in the Philippines… Their was a guy who lifted his guitar while tryin to sustain a note on it… Wow!!! it was Zack Wylde… One of my most admired guitarist… then followed by a bass drum beat that’s so bossy accompanied by a bass line… I thought it was somethin kind of Black Label Society stuff… then there it came the vocalist of the song… Ozzy Osbourne … started to sing these line…
I don’t know what they’re talking about
I’m making my own decisions
This thing that I found
Ain’t gonna bring me down
I’m like a junkie without an addiction
Then as he proceed to the Chorus of the Song goes like this…
All my life I’ve been over the top
I don’t know what I’m doing,
All I know is I don’t wanna stop
All fired up, I’m gonna go till I drop
You’re either in or in the way
Don’t make me, I don’t wanna stop
Just by listenin to it once… all I wanna do is I don’t wanna stop listenin to it… almost… Long Live Rock n Roll

Necrologist Presents:Kurt Cobain - Smells Like Thin Spirit
February 13, 2009Smells like Nirvana!!! Kurt Cobain… Dead but still lives in our hearts. A very simple band, not much of style as well as with their music… it was because of their uniqueness as a band why they became what they are in our minds now.
Till now every time we had some drinks with my peers in respective places, well its a no, no that we aint gonna bring atleast one guitar… everytime we want to sing while drinkin’ NIrvana songs would always be included.. Usually, it would start with a song… saying these words first… “This song is our first record, most people don’t know it.” Hey, hey , hey… I believe you guys knew where you had heard this huh… “About A Girl.. Unplugged in New York” All Apologies, Smell Like Thin Spirit, Heart Shaped Box, Polly and More.
During our early days with the band, were almost like a tribute band of Nirvana… there were even the time while we had drinkin session and we declared… all songs that will be sang should all be Nirvana!!!
Long Live Rock in Roll!!!
Necrologist Presents: Welcome to the Jungle "Guns N’ Roses"
February 12, 2009
Guns n Roses… Axel Rose and Slash are the common member when this band is being talked about.
I love this band very much during their glory days. Such music that popularized the group are Sweet Child of Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, Revival of Knockin on the Heavens Door, the 7 minute plus song / mtv Estranged… and a lot more. One of their song was even an Official Soundtrack of the movie: Terminator Part 2 That song entitled “You Could Be Mine.” If you still remember their mtv of their song entitled “November Rain” man, its almost like a movie.
The usual that our band during those days played song of Guns n Roses such as Patience, Yesterdays, Sweet Child… Knockin… Welcome… I used to love her, Don’t Cry because those songs are the usual that was being requested to be played.
Unfortunately the band decided to disband somewhat about early to mid 90’s. Then later Slash had his own band … then later on Velvet Revolver was formed on the likeness of GNRs but Axel Rose was not a member of the band anymore.
Well, such a great fame but didn’t last long… I’m just wonderin if they can have this later Reunion Concert huh just like what other bands doin out there.
But still… Long Live Rock n Roll!!!

Necrologist Presents: The Black Sabbath
Hey hey hey… they’re back Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler… The Black Sabbath. Songs like Heaven and Hell.. Paranoid which is ideal to play to cheerup your crowd, Changes - somewhat for some sort peaceful recollection, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - a strong performance and Iron Man - a good choice opening the gig. Those were popularized by The Black Sabbath.
The song Changes was the first song I able to listen to and I wasn’t able to know that time that it was Black Sabbath sung tha song. It was in a cassette tape during that time. Then here comes the Symptom of the Universe, I heard that played in a certain movie way back in the 90’s (isn’t it Wayne’s World Movie??? what part anyway???) I thought it was a new song with a powerful guitar riff but nah!!! It was just a revival by some alternative band… yup! alternative music was growing fast during that time.
Well further things about this Sabbath is that it was Ozzy that I knew first and when I remember of Ozzy, it was the guy who ripped the bat’s head using his mouth during a concert… hey it was even repeated in a movie starring Adam Sandler during the finale.
Long Live Rock n Roll!!!
